A song that I like and makes a lot of sense to me would be Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
This song is a fairly old song by a band thats well known. The song was produced August 13th, 1973. Shortly after Ronnie Van Zants grandmother and Gary Rossingtons mother died, they got together in Van Zants apartment and shared stories about their mothers. Rossington came up with a chord progression and Van Zant made the lyrics. The song was made in about an hour. Even though the words say, "sit beside me, my only son" Ronnie was not the only son. He had two older brothers and one older sister along with a younger sister.
Basically the song tells you to respect what you have and respect things in your life like family and friends. Personally this is one of my favorite songs. I like it because it really shows me how much I have. It has been covered by many bands but I think I like the original the best.
The sound of the song is blues rock. It starts off in the begginning slower but as it progresses it gets faster and more exiting. Theres a very catchy guitar riff in the intro followed by a strong chorus.
That is all I have to say about this song. Definantly one of my favorites.
